Description:
The building was built in 1614 and is situated in Cloth Fair looking on to St Bartholomew Priory, the church. It is one of two houses in the street which survived the Fire of London. The building was two houses and former homes to Cloth Merchants but is now a 21st Century barristers' chambers, while retaining some of the original features including large wooden beams. The main conference room has two glass atriums and a slanting roof window and is extremely light. The basement conference room has two lightwells from the pavements above. There are wonderful views from the windows, fireplaces in all the barristers' rooms and wooden or trentino limestone flooring throughout. There are 14 rooms, not including the kitchen, toilets and post room. There are two entrances, one in Rising Sun Court and the main entrance on Cloth Fair. The facade is painted dark green and has black wrought iron railings, an original square drain, period style bosses and some 18th Century recessed shutters.
