Description:An imposing late Victorian church set in grounds with a needle landmark spire of Portland stone, hammerbeam roof, tower sculptures and bronze representations of winged creatures from the Bible by AG Walker. Extraordinary Arts & Crafts stained glass windows by Walter Crane. English Heritage Grade II* listed. Currently empty, the church is stripped of religious paraphernalia apart from the pews, lectern, pulpit and organ. Seats 350. Built for the leader of the Agapemonites sect in 1896.
