Description:
Grade II listed building. Cecil Sharp House was built in 1930 and was partially rebuilt afer the war following damage during the Blitz. This sizeable, purpose-built site comprises a large main hall, two further, smaller halls and a Library. Sprung-wood flooring. 1950s wood panelling in the main hall and original 1920s Art Deco carved wooden doors. Magnificent 70ft mural by Ivor Hitchens showing folk dances in a woodland setting. 1950s fixtures and fittings including a sound reflector above the stage in the main hall. Walled garden. Car park for 18 cars. Bar and cafe in the basement.
