Description:Grade II listed Edwardian West End opera house. The largest theatre in London, designed in 1904 by Frank Matcham, the London Coliseum is owned by English National Opera. The Edwardian architecture and interiors were magnificently restored in 2004. The huge three-tiered auditorium seats 2,358. The opulent wood-panelled foyer has a marble ceiling and portrait paintings. Spaces include the American Bar on the stalls level, the modern and bright Sky Bar on the Upper Circle level and the intimate Edwardian Royal Retiring Room designed by Frank Matcham for the royal family's use.
