Description:Russia Dock Woodland is a long narrow park in Rotherhithe, created in 1981 in the former dock basin of Surrey Commercial Docks. The 35-acre valley was created using the old dock wall to form one edge of a water course and woodland on the other bank. The valley is enclosed by thickly planted steep mounds and crossed by bridges and decks. It contains dock features including the capstones, depth gauges, bollards, mooring chains and tracks.
