Description:This section of the Park Hill Estate was completed in 1971 to an award-winning international design by Swiss firm Atelier 5. St Bernards consists of 21 properties built in three hillside terraces. The living areas are on the upper floor with views over woods and hills. The bedrooms are below and open out onto a small enclosed garden. Both the upper (entrance/dining) court and the lower garden court have access to pedestrian walkways, but are completely secure from overlooking. The car parking is tucked underneath at the top end of the site. The blocks are made out of London stock brick and feature a wooden balcony. Residents are required to paint the balcony and the external doors in particular colours to maintain the unity of the development.
