Description:No.4 Hamilton Place is the home of the Royal Aeronautical Society. This elegant Mayfair townhouse, with a grand portico, is set in a terrace of three houses. The Georgian building had an Edwardian refurbishment in 1906-1907 by the same contractors building the Ritz Hotel. A west-facing terrace overlooks Hyde Park. There are five period drawing rooms and a lecture theatre. Features include a marble hall and stairs, Adam style fireplace, ornate interiors in the Louis XVI style, bow windows at either end of the Argyll Room.
