The Columbia Hotel was originally five large Victorian town houses built in 1865 as part of the Lancaster Gate development. They were converted into a hotel with a circular driveway between the two world wars. The hotel overlooks Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens and retains the character of the Victorian properties.
