Description:
Exhibition Road was officially re-opened in February 2012, following a two-year transformation into a shared space concept. The chequered granite road runs from South Kensington in the south to Hyde Park in the north and now features a kerb-free single surface with no barriers or street clutter. Exhibition Road is home to a unique collection of cultural and educational institutions including the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, the Royal Albert Hall and Imperial College London. Tall, sleek street lighting masts have been designed to complement these grand buildings.
