Description:The award-winning Lee Valley Athletics Centre was opened in 2005, with athletics tracks and facilities, plus three rooms available for additional hire. The centre includes the only indoor 200m six-lane track in the south. Indoor facilities: seating for 500 people; 130m sprint straight; 60m sprint straight; 200m circular track; full jumps provision; indoor throws area; cafe. Outdoor facilities: covered seating for 350 people; 600m bark trail; 400m, 8 lane track; full field event facilities. The roof comprises 12 single span arches which incorporate full width north lights which provide both natural light and ventilation to the main hall, and a network of slopes eliminates the need for lifts.
