Description:Historic filming location in South London. Battersea Arts Centre is set in the beautiful former town hall, designed by EW Mountford in 1891. The Grade II* listed building offers an enormous range of locations throughout its many spaces, inside and out – from Gothic corridors to opulent entrance halls – which lend themselves perfectly to filming and photography. In the space of one building, is a range of scenes and styles, from old to new, from grand to faded grandeur. The Grand Hall, beautifully restored following a devastating fire in 2015, is an event space able to hold from 100 to 800 guests in a variety of formats, from large auditorium to banqueting hall. Its stunning lattice ceiling hides an advanced technical infrastructure, and the space retains many original features. Large windows surrounding the hall allow natural daylight to flood in; blackout blinds are available. The Grand Hall contains the largest surviving Hope-Jones theatre organ in the world. With its own private entrance, the stunning Octagonal Hall has a mosaic floor and stained glass-domed ceiling. There is also a light and airy wood-panelled Council Chamber, bar space and a private kitchen. There is on-street parking and easy load-in. The Grand Hall has direct access to Town Hall Road, a private road, where vehicles can park and unload into the space. Battersea Arts Centre has technical staff onsite and can supply more hands on deck.
