Description:The Grade I listed church follows the form of Wren’s post-Great Fire design for a Greek Cross, a square within a square, and boasts a superb acoustic. The church’s tower survived the Blitz in 1940 and the church itself was restored using fittings from other city churches. The VOCES8 Centre has its home in the church and boasts a full crewed recording/broadcasting studio. A range of spaces are available. The nave is approximately 13 x 13m square, with a soaring vaulted, domed ceiling 15m high. Maximum capacity is 180 audience seated, 220 total for everyone in the building. An additional Breakout Space / Green Room comfortably seats 15 for meetings, sectionals or instrumental lessons and has been used as a green room for larger groups. The centre has often been used as a base for productions for make-up, costume, cast and crew holding facilities.
